Consider gas is of $1.00 / gallon and 10 gallons of gas is consumed. Person spends $10.00 on gas.
Price increases by 25%.. which will be $1.25 per gallon. For price to remain same, $10 = 1.25 (new gallons of gas) New gallons of gas = 10/1.25 = 80% Decrease = 20%
