Total 100 apple. 60% sole and left 40. 15%(6 apples) of 40 has been thrown. Left 34. 50% of that have been sold and rest is 50% of 34 i.e. 17
As 17 if 17% of 100 so... Ans A

Consider 100 apples, He sells 60 out of it.
And he has 40 apples remaining. He throws 15% of 40 apples i.e. 6 apples and has 34 apples remaining. Next day he sells 50% apples i.e. 17 apples and throws remaining i.e. 17. Total apples thrown = 17+6 = 23. % apples thrown = 23/100 = 23%
